SUNCITY (The Lost City)

One of Africa’s premier vacation destinations, Sun City in South Africa is internationally recognized for its superb resort offering of hotels, attractions and world-class events. From the lavish opulence of The Palace of the Lost City to the casual elegance of the Cascades, the glamour of the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge to the tropical thrills of the Valley of the Waves, Sun City delivers plenty to see and do in a beautiful malaria-free landscape.

Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeespoort Dam

The Elephant Sanctuary has three African Elephant Sanctuaries across three provinces in Southern Africa. The Elephant Sanctuary, started in 1999, grew from five elephants to a total of twelve African Elephants (Loxodonta Africana). These Elephants have been domesticated through positive reinforcement animal management principles, and as a result, provide us with the unique opportunity to interact with them. Visitors are taken on a journey into the world of the African elephant and are guided through an unforgettable experience with these magnificent creatures. Visitors are able to touch, feed and get to know these animals.

Madikwe Game Reserve

Madikwe Game Reserve is currently the fifth largest game reserve and is also one of the lesser- known parks in South Africa. This makes it a hidden- gem as it is regarded as one of the best conservation areas in Africa and offers the Big 5 in a 680 km2 park (750 km2 including newly incorporated privately owned land). The park offers a number of luxurious lodges as well as community lodges in a malaria- free zone.

Ukutula Lion Park

Ukutula is conveniently situated within an hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The game farm comprises 260 hectares of unspoiled bush veld boasting a variety of antelope species, giraffe and zebra. Ukutula is also home to more than 130 different bird species. Known as the “place of quiet” the lodge is nestled in lush bush veld where the roar of the lion can be heard for miles around.

Pilanesberg National Park

Among Southern Africa’s fascinating game reserves, Pilanesberg National Park is possibly the most accessible. Situated in the ecologically rich transition zone between the Kalahari and the Lowveld, this vast area promises thrilling big game viewing in a malaria free environment.
